The Southern Yam

Ingredients:

  • Organic sweet potatoes or yams

  • Roasted pecans

  • Pure maple syrup

  • Cinnamon

 

 

 

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees

 

  • Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wash then pierce root vegetables several times with sharp knife.

 

  • Place vegetables on lined baking sheet and bake until soft (up to an hour depending upon size of root vegetable).

 

  • When done split open potato and top with 1-2 tablespoons of chopped pecans

 

  • Finally drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup over nuts and sprinkle on cinnamon to finish it off.
