Swiss Chard Sautee
Ingredients:
-
One bunch of Swiss chard
-
Olive oil—2 tablespoons
-
Garlic, coarsely chopped- 1-2-3 cloves depending upon how much you like garlic
-
Sea Salt- a pinch
Directions:
Step 1
Prepare the Swiss chard by removing the center rib of the leaf. It is thick so trimming around it neatly is easy to accomplish. Next chiffonade the leaves by stacking a few and rolling them together into about a 1 inch diameter. Then cut in cross sections about ½ inch wide to make ribbon like strips.
Step 2
Add the olive oil to the pan and heat to medium high. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and cook for about a minute or until it just starts to change color.
Step 3
Add the chard into the pan and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
Add a pinch of sea salt at the end and serve hot as a side dish to accompany just about anything!
