Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

Are you ready for a new twist on an old classic?  This Sunday super smoothie blends the old with the new.  It starts with the peanut butter and jelly tradition, and adds on a sprinking of chia seeds to boost nutrition.  It’s a winner because not only does it taste great, but it is also rich in heart healthy fats, and high in fiber and antioxidants.


  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 teaspoon of strawberry spread or jelly

  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter

  • 2 cups of frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup milk



  1. Pour water and chia seeds in bottom of blender and let soak for 5 minutes

  2. Add in peanut butter and jelly

  3. Next add in frozen strawberries and pour milk on top

  4. Blend until smooth
